Paramount Skydance Plans to Merge Paramount+ with Warner Bros. Discovery's HBO Max

After completing the acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD.US), Paramount Skydance (PSKY.US) planned to merge HBO Max and Paramount+ into a single streaming service, Paramount Skydance said.

Following Netflix (NFLX.US)'s exit, Paramount Skydance announced last Friday a US$110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery.

If regulators approve, Paramount+ and HBO Max will be merged into one streaming service, which will have approx. 200 million users after the merger, though details were not disclosed, Paramount Skydance's CEO, David Ellison, stated. He added that the HBO brand is planned to be retained.
