HKEX (00388.HK) is contemplating to allow more types of companies to submit IPO applications confidentially to fortify its leading position in the global IPO market, Bloomberg, citing people with the knowledge of the matter, reported.

The proposal mentions expanding the scope of non-public submissions from the tech and biotech sectors to traditional industries, sources divulged. The proposal is expected to be included in a market consultation paper to be released by HKEX at the end of February.
