As of the end of December 2025, the inventory of the national passenger car industry of China stood at 3.65 million units, down 140,000 units compared to the previous month, but up 600,000 units compared to December 2024, indicating a characteristic of inventory downtrend at the year end, China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) Secretary-General, Cui Dongshu, said.

Based on the inventory at the end of December 2025 and the comprehensive forecast of future sales, the current inventory supports future sales for 66 days, Cui pointed out. This is relatively high compared to 70 days in December 2023 and 46 days in December 2024, indicating that last month's overall inventory pressure was relatively high.
