On the eve of his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday (15th), US President Donald Trump said he believes Putin is ready to put an end to his war with Ukraine, but achieving peace will likely require Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to participate in a second round of talks. Trump also downplayed the prospects of a ceasefire being reached at the summit, estimating a 25% chance of failure.
