Berkshire Hathaway Slashes Stake in Apple, Rotates to UnitedHealth

Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A.US) slashed its holdings in Apple Inc. (AAPL.US) by 6.7% or approximately 20 million shares last quarter, bringing it down to 280 million shares, documents showed.

The group shifted to UnitedHealth Group (UNH.US), purchasing 5 million shares with about USD1.6 billion, leading to an over 8% leap in the stock's price after hours.

Meanwhile, the company fully divested its holdings in T-Mobile US (TMUS.US) and trimmed its holdings in Bank of America (BAC.US) by about 4% or 26.3 million shares.

Berkshire also increased its holdings in Nucor Corporation (NUE.US) by 6.6 million shares and in Chevron (CVX.US) by 3.3 million shares.
