MEITUAN-W's (03690.HK) (MPNGY.US) e-commerce platform Meituan Instashopping released a report for alcohol products on the first day of the 618 shopping festival. In the 24 hours since the major promotion started yesterday (28th), the overall transaction volume for alcohol on Meituan Instashopping increased by more than 18 times YoY. Among them, the transaction volume for baijiu exceeded RMB300 million within the first 12 hours, growing over 70 times compared to the same period last year. Beer, as a strong category in instant retail, had nearly ten million bottles sold on the first day.
