The HSI inched up 150 points or 0.65% to 23,408 at midday. The HSCEI added 57 points or 0.7% to 8,501. The HSTECH climbed 80 points or 1.6% to 5,255. Total half-day turnover of the market amounted to $110.92 billion. Handset parts stocks FIT HON TENG (06088.HK) and SUNNY OPTICAL (02382.HK) jumped up 5.9% and 3.7%, while AAC TECH (02018.HK) and Q TECH (01478.HK) gained 2.7% and 2.9%. BYD ELECTRONIC (00285.HK) lifted 1.9%. Exporter SHENZHOU INTL (02313.HK) leaped 4.6%, while photovoltaic stocks GCL TECH (03800.HK) and FLAT GLASS (06865.HK) ascended over 2%. Pharma WUXI BIO (02269.HK) rallied 8.8%, while WUXI APPTEC (02359.HK), PHARMARON (03759.HK) and CANSINOBIO (06185.HK) mounted 3.9-5%. For other techs, NTES-S (09999.HK) ballooned 2.6% to $201.6, while MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) rebounded 4.9% to $137.9. KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) leaped 2.4%, while TENCENT (00700.HK), BABA-W (09988.HK), BIDU-SW (09888.HK) and JD-SW (09618.HK) ticked up 0.4-0.9%. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) hiked 0.1%, while SMIC (00981.HK) closed flat at $40.8. BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) ebbed 0.3%. In addition, MEITU (01357.HK) elevated 5%, while KINGDEE INT'L (00268.HK), NEW ORIENTAL-S (09901.HK) and CHINASOFT INT'L (00354.HK) hyped up 2.8-3.6%.
