Hong Kong stock market only has half-day trade today (16th), the 29th day of the Year of the Snake. The HSI was last at 26,668, up 101 points or nearly 0.4%, with a turnover of HK$69.991 billion. Mainland A-share market is closed and will resume trading next Tuesday (24th, the 8th day of the Year of the Horse).

Two recently in-demand AI large-scale model IPOs, MINIMAX-WP (00100.HK) and KNOWLEDGE ATLAS (02513.HK), showed mixed performance this morning. The former opened 2.9% higher; with rapidly expanded upswing, it shot up by as much as 24.6% to peak at HK$847, repeatedly setting new listing highs. It last printed at HK$826, up 21.47%, with a turnover of 1.7867 million shares, amounting to HK$1.342 billion.

KNOWLEDGE ATLAS (02513.HK) opened 7.6% higher. It once skyrocketed as much as 11.3% to peak at HK$540, a record high since its listing, before profit-taking orders emerged. It then slid 5.1% to bottom at HK$460, and last traded at HK$488.2, up 0.66%, with a turnover of 2.9145 million shares, amounting to HK$1.427 billion.
