US Department of War Reissues Latest 'CN Military Companies List' to Include BABA-W, BIDU-SW, BYD COMPANY

The US Department of War (Department of Defense) updated its "List of Chinese Military Companies" last Saturday (14th, local time), adding companies such as robot company Unitree, lidar company ROBOSENSE (02498.HK), internet companies BABA-W (09988.HK) (BABA.US) and BIDU-SW (09888.HK) (BIDU.US), automotive companies BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) and NIO-SW (09866.HK) (NIO.US), leading panel company BOE A (000725.SZ), leading photovoltaic module company JA SOLAR (002459.SZ), and TRINA SOLAR (688599.SH), Chinese news broke.

Meanwhile, Chinese companies such as YMTC and CXMT were removed from the list. The US Department of War had initially unveiled the list last Friday (13th) but withdrew it shortly afterwards. The list was later reissued without any changes.

Last Friday, Alibaba responded by stating that the company is not a Chinese military-industrial enterprise and does not participate in any military-civil integration strategies. The company will take all feasible legal actions against any attempts to distort its image.
