BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) announced the ceremony for the first car rolling off the production line at its passenger car factory in Camacari, Bahia, Brazil marking a new phase in BYD's global strategy. Bahia State Governor Jeronimo Rodrigues believed that the establishment of the BYD factory in Bahia, Brazil, is not only a symbol of industrial development but also a new chapter in cooperation between Brazil and China. BYD Executive Vice President Stella Li stated that BYD, as one of the companies with the highest R&D investment globally, is injecting its leading technological capabilities into Brazil. From groundbreaking to the first car rolling off the line, the group took only 15 months, Li said.
