BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) announced its 2024 annual results, reporting a net profit of RMB40.254 billion, up 34% YoY, primarily driven by growth in new energy vehicle (NEV) sales, with an EPS of RMB13.84. A final DPS of RMB3.974 was declared. For the year 2024, the Group realized an operating revenue of RMB777.102 billion, up 29%. In particular, the revenue from the automobiles and related products, and other products amounted to RMB617.382 billion, up 27.7%; the revenue from the handset components, assembly service and other products amounted to RMB159.609 billion, up 34.6%. During the Year, the Group’ s gross profit increased by 35% to RMB151.056 billion. Gross profit margin increased from 18.58% in 2023 to 19.44% during the Year. The gross profit margin increased in comparison with 2023, mainly attributable to the growth of new energy vehicle business. The Group invested RMB54.2 billion in R&D in 2024, up 35.7%.
