In December 2024, the mainland China market delivered 34.528 million smartphones, up 22.1% YoY, among which 30.433 million 5G smartphones were delivered, up 25.8% YoY, responsible for 88.1% of the total smartphones shipped in the same period, as China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) released a report on the analysis of the operation of the smartphone market in mainland. For the full year of 2024, the number of smartphones delivered in mainland market reached 314 million units, representing a YoY growth of 8.7%, among which, 272 million units of 5G handsets were delivered, representing a YoY hike of 13.4%, and accounting for 86.4% of the total number of smartphones delivered in the same period.
