HSBC announced a reduction in its HKD best lending rate by 12.5 bps to 5.25%. Simultaneously, it cut the interest rate on its HKD savings deposit account by 12.5 bps.

HSBC's interest rate on its HKD savings deposit account was last adjusted on November 11, when it was reduced by 25 bps.
